Point cooke started the season by earning second team all-Lone Star Conference honors. She also made CIAA All-Season Team honors for the third straight year and was named the HBCU Player of the Week at least once during the 2021-22 campaign. Cooke ranked fifth in the league in scoring, sixth in field goal percentage and first in three-point shooting, hitting 43 of 89 shots from behind the arc this year.

Point Cook is Melbourne’s newest suburb and is administered by Wyndham City Council (WCC). It was developed as a ‘new urban community’ with its own RAAF base, an airport and new townships to house the military and civilian personnel. Despite the rapid growth, it has maintained a sense of community spirit of mateship and has become one of Melbourne’s most multicultural suburbs.

The town centre has two discount department stores, a supermarket, community and library facilities, a cinema and around 150 other outlets. The smaller Sanctuary Lakes Shopping Centre is currently undergoing a major revamp and will soon add Kmart and Aldi along with 30 additional retailers.

Point Cook is served by numerous parks and reserves which cover a significant proportion of its area, including the large Sanctuary Lakes wetlands, which are an important bird habitat. Other recreational facilities include a swimming complex, golf course and tennis courts. The suburb is also well serviced by public transport, with a busway connecting to Melbourne’s Central Business District and train services to Williams Landing station on the Werribee Line.
